Emergency and Local Support

We are seeing a significant rise in individuals reaching out to The Relationships Centre Leicestershire at a mental health crisis point.

While we deeply empathise with this distress, traditional, ongoing counselling is not designed for acute emergencies. During an active crisis, the brain's "fight or flight" response is dominant, making it difficult to engage in therapeutic work.

Counselling sessions (whether weekly or fortnightly) are not equipped to provide the rapid, risk assessment, or urgent medical response required when someone is in immediate danger.

Attempting to unpack deep-seated issues, past traumas, or complex relationship breakdowns when you are already functioning at a breaking point can do more harm than good, increasing feelings of overwhelm.

Our Approach to Moving Forward

At our centre located at 83 Aylestone Road in Leicester, our expertise lies in long-term, restorative therapeutic work rather than emergency intervention. We focus on helping individuals and families develop sustainable coping strategies, navigate relationship breakdowns, and build emotional resilience for the future.
