We are now offering a QbCheck Service.
QbCheck is a safe online ADHD test that supports early identification of ADHD.
QbCheck is not the standalone test for ADHD and is not a diagnosis, but rather one piece of information that has been designed to support the assessment process by combining objective data and subjective information, to see if any features of ADHD are present. It is usually the first step.
The QbCheck is designed for individuals aged 6 to 60 years old (Results are better for children aged 7).
This age range is important for ensuring that the test is appropriate for everyone as it objectively measures core signs of ADHD, including hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention.
The test will be delivered by our friendly ADHD coach in person at our Leicester office.
It is delivered in person as our coach will also be assessing your physical movements throughout the test.
The test is a computer-based test that objectively measures the core signs of ADHD: hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention.
During the test, you will play a simple computer 'game' while a motion sensor gently tracks movement. During the test, a number of symbols will appear on your computer screen. The task is to push the spacebar when a certain symbol appears. Meanwhile, a webcam uses facial recognition technology to track your movements during the test.
The webcam does not record images but only tracks movements. The test results are anonymized and processed according to data protection regulations.
The results give a clear, objective picture of how you focus and actively compare to other children/adults of the same age.
Together with other clinically relevant information, the comparison to the age and gender matched groups will inform your provider about the presence of ADHD symptoms.
The test is designed to be challenging to assess your ability to sustain attention, impulse control and level of activity.
You should not be concerned if you feel you did not perform well – there is no such thing as “pass or fail” for this type of test.
The test is not dependent on language, reading or mathematical skills.
The test itself takes 15 or 20 minutes, but additional time should be allowed for the setup, rating scale completion as well as ability test, and so an hour is allocated for the appointment.
QbCheck is well documented, widely used, CE-marked, and registered or cleared by all concerned authorities, including The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and The Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The QbCheck is £150.
